Pricing

Price and delivery of coated models are based on a number of factors which include

• bounding box dimensions
• model surface area
• coating thickness required
• number of identical parts to be coated

As a general rule of thumb, the cost of coating an SL model is approximately 20 to 35% of the commercial price of a model with small parts pricing at the high end and large part pricing at the low end of the range. 

Delivery Guidelines

Turn-around time is typically 2-3 days* for small parts that need less than 0.075 mm (0.003”) of metal applied.  Thicker coatings on small sized parts will extend delivery by a day.  Larger parts, parts with thick wall sections, and heavily loaded parts will require a thicker coating.  Large deep sections may also require the use of field control elements that can extend the turn-around time to a week or more.

To obtain a firm price, email an STL file of the part you want quoted to info@repliforminc.com and include thickness, number of parts needed and any special requirements you may have, particularly those related to dimensional accuracy or fit of close tolerance sections.  Please zip files that are larger than 2 MB in size.  We also accept files in the highly compressed MGX format from Materialise.  If you do not have an STL file, please email a photo of the part you want coated along with the bullet listed information above.
